Only users with the Manage Synopses role can delete a synopsis. Additionally, you can only delete a synopsis if there is an existing forecast or package within the grant opportunity. If there is no package, you will need to delete the entire opportunity to discard the synopsis. For steps to delete an opportunity, refer to the Delete Grant Opportunities help article.

How to Delete a Synopsis from an Existing Application Package

1. Locate the grant opportunity using the Manage Opportunities page search box.

2. Click on the Manage link associated with the desired opportunity. You will be taken to the Manage Opportunity page.

3. Click on the Synopsis tab.

4. Click on the Delete button under the Synopsis tab.

5. You will be taken to the Delete Synopsis modal. To confirm that you want to delete the synopsis for the opportunity, click Continue and the opportunity synopsis will be deleted.

6. After a successful deletion, you will be directed to the Synopsis tab on the Manage Opportunity page. You should receive a success message on this page.
