Reset Password

If you know the email address associated with your account, then you can reset your password from the Reset Password page.

If you previously added a mobile phone number to your account details, then you may be able to reset your password without access to the email account on file.

Reset Your Password on Grants.gov

  1. Enter your Grants.gov username in the Username field.

  2. Enter the email address associated with your username in the Email Address field.

  3. To reset your password, you will need a temporary code. Select how you would like to receive it -- via email or mobile phone (text message). Users who have not added a mobile number to their account profile will not see the second option and will automatically receive the temporary code via the email address associated with their account.

  4. Click the Continue button to receive the temporary code.

  5. Enter the Temporary Code that was sent to the email address or mobile phone number associated with your account, then click Continue.

    • Note: If you do not receive the code, click the Resend Temporary Code button.

  6. Enter your new password and confirm it was entered correctly by re-typing it into the New Password Confirm field.

  7. Click the Submit button to complete the password reset process.
